Your action plan

Letu2019s return to the four scenarios presented at the beginning of this section.

In these scenarios, you saw Kofi in several situations where his internal alarm was triggered, including:

  • when separating from his mother in the morning
  • during story time
  • when the bell rang
  • during outdoor playtime

For most students, these are not threatening situations. But for Kofi, the uncertainty and alarm he feels in each situation is interpreted as a threat, so he spends his days tense and preoccupied.
